Columbia, South Carolina
This Five Points Airbnb was designed to comfortably host both visiting family and short-term guests. The goal was to create a space that felt personal and welcoming while still holding up to the realities of rental use.
The color story was pulled from a vintage rug and a collection of paintings created by the owner’s mother. Soft pinks, blues, greens, and warm neutrals set the tone, giving the space a layered, lived-in feel rather than something overly styled.
Material choices were guided by sustainability and longevity. After leveling the space, bamboo flooring was installed for durability and warmth, paired with terracotta tile and butcher block countertops to add texture and character.
A standout feature of the home is the 200 sq ft second-story outdoor living space. Overlooking a wooded view, it was designed as a comfortable extension of the interior—perfect for relaxing, gathering, and giving guests a sense of retreat.
